Reimbursement funds up to 50% of the cost to obtain, transport, and spread compost, to a maximum of $10,000, for purchasing and spreading commercial compost (i.e. must be purchased from a facility with a solid waste handling permit).
Recipients must complete an eligibility review of the compost prior to applying, and must also submit soil samples to the WSDA before compost application and for at least 10 years after the last grant funding is used.
