Grants up to $3,000 to fund livestock and poultry farmers in the following three categories: grants to improve or expand pasture; grants to support farms pursuing animal welfare certifications (Animal Welfare Approved, Certified Humane, or Global Animal Partnership); and grants for welfare-certified farmers for on-farm production, marketing, sales, or distribution related projects.
Applicants must be working, independent farms or farms operated by a federally-recognized tribal entity, that raise animals within the United States or its territories. Project must have an impact on one of the following eligible animal species: beef cattle, bison, broiler chickens, dairy cows, ducks, geese, goats, laying hens, pigs, sheep, and/ or turkeys.
