These easements provide a one-time fair-market payment for land to be limited to a designated purpose. Agricultural land easements can pay up to 50% of the land value, and grassland/grazing easements can pay up to 75% of the land value. Wetland easements can be permanent or limited to a 30-year term; permanent wetland easements pay 100% of the land value, and 75-100% of the restoration costs; 30-year wetland easements pay 50-75% of the land value, and 50-75% of the restoration costs.
