Did you know the Washington Association of Wheat Growers produces a monthly publication called Wheat Life? This magazine is distributed to over 12,000 readers including wheat growers, industry members, and Washington Legislators. That’s a lot of people reading about the Washington Soil Health Initiative this month!

Read Wheat Life’s May 2025 article “Helping farmers bounce back” to learn about how WaSHI’s work is integral to the success of WSDA’s Climate Resilience Plan for Washington Agriculture.  And look out for an upcoming Wheat Life interview with WaSHI’s Soil Health Economic Development Coordinator Lauren Quackenbush! In the June issue, Lauren describes the current status of WaSHI’s STAR program, and the big plans we have for conservation practices in Washington’s wheat industry.

As always, stay tuned for more media mentions and updates!
